Spicy Bacon and Brown Sugar Smokies

Smokies

Felix and I were baking the other day, on one of the first cool days of fall, and he decided to make a little snack. Because, you know, when you’re making pastries and cookies, you have to keep your strength up. So, he just waved his magic wand and ‘poof!’ these magically appeared in moments. Seriously. I was busy with puff pastry dough and chocolate, and suddenly he set these down next to me with a bit of mustard and ketchup. Well, I couldn’t leave them all alone, that just wouldn’t be right, now would it? So, I popped one into my mouth and Mmmmmm … These little guys were an instant party! Felix and I devoured them in no time and avoided any chance of starvation before all of our sweet treats came out of the oven.

Having a holiday party? Serve these with good cheer! Need a snack for a sleepover? The kids will go wild for some smokies! Looking for a crowd-pleasing appetizer for a game or movie night? Spicy Bacon Smokies for the win! These little smokies are so easy to make, super fun to eat, and can fit into just about any occasion. You’re going to love these, and everyone else will, too. Simply roll each little frank with a thin piece of bacon, season, bake and dig in!
